''We developed our KS1 playground because it was a very dull space with very little for the children to do at playtimes. Our Early Years playground is very interactive for the children and there is lots for them to do. The transition from Early Years to Year 1 is often quite a step for such young children and the playground that they were faced with wasn’t very exciting. This resulted in minor behavioral issues due to boredom.

We have noticed a vast difference in the behavior of the children since the installation and also in their attitudes towards learning.''

What were the key elements that made Playforce stand out from other providers?
The main element was price. We searched through a vast number of providers looking for quality at a good price. We had a limited budget to work with but wanted to put in a quality provision. Playforce were able to provide both.

How are you using the space to deliver outdoor learning and educational play?
The installation has not only improved our play facilities but it has provided an additional level of educational play by enabling the children to assess risk and set themselves targets and challenge them as well as the obvious physical benefits.

What are the biggest benefits you have seen for the children?
The biggest benefit to our children is by far the positive behavioral changes. Being in a deprived area, school is often the one stable thing in their lives and playtimes are often the only social time they get with their peers. We wanted to, and have achieved in providing a more positive and enjoyable playtime.

Any other comments about your experience of working with Playforce?
Although our project was delayed slightly due to communication between installation teams and the office, we found Playforce very easy to deal with and found that they were very professional at all times. We understand that things don’t always go to plan and the communication and support from Playforce to rectify the delay was fantastic. The whole experience from initial visit to completion was straight forward. The 3D images of our scheme at the quoting stage would’ve swayed us towards Playforce had we found ourselves contemplating who to go with on price. The whole process was transparent with regards to costings.
