Playforce proud official supplier for Sudocrem Play More 2018

15 February 2019

Here are Playforce we're passionate about getting children outdoors and playing more. That's why we teamed up with Sudocrem in 2018 to support their Play More campaign.

Play More, was launched in May 2018 with the support of Chris Packham. It is an initiative designed to encourage parents and children to get back in touch with nature and explore the greatest playground on earth - the outdoors. We’re proud to have worked with Play More, as their official supplier, and the fact that we’ve helped nurseries big and small to improve their outdoor play areas, painted murals and promoted a healthy balanced lifestyle.

As part of the campaign, Sudocrem carried out a survey which asked 200 children between the ages of 4 to 8 years old to identify some of the creepy crawlies in Britain. The survey revealed that 9 out of 10 children (89%) were unable to recognise a butterfly even though there is an abundance of native British insects, with around 27,000 insect species calling the UK home. Moreover, 51% didn’t know what a Bumblebee looks like. And, surprisingly, 1 in 3 (29%) didn’t realise that bees make honey.

Playforce and Sudocrem Play More - Improving Outdoor Play

An example of Sudocrem Play More helping to improve outdoor play is Blagrave Nursery School - one of 10 lucky winners chosen from almost 1000 nominations made by parents from across the UK, who believed that their local nursery deserved to win support to help improve their playgrounds.

Emma Payne, head teacher, said: “We are delighted to win this year’s Play More Award and would like to thank Sudocrem, Playforce and all those parents and supporters who nominated us. Outdoor play is an integral part of our provision and the children will be able to enjoy the additional resources that we have been given to further improve our outdoor play area. We are now the proud owners of a bug hotel, wigwam, outdoor chalkboard & seating logs for our fire pit circle.”
