Sustainible playgrounds

Sustainability is one of our core company values at Playforce.

We ensure sustainability is a key factor when we design product, source services and care for our customers and staff. We want all our partners to benefit from a healthy and sustainable environment.

We strive for sustainable relationships and this can only be achieved if we listen to our customers and design products that meet your growing needs.

As a company we are committed to using sustainable materials and services. We seek to re-use or recycle redundant products and minimise waste at every opportunity.

Wastage

We maintain a policy of minimum waste which is essential to the cost effective running of our company. Our staff embrace this policy by avoiding unnecessary or extravagant use of energy or services. Machines and products are handled with care, lights are switched off and heating turned down whenever possible.

Products

All our timber is from an FSC accredited source, so we can ensure that timber supplies are sustainable and well managed. Our Rubber Step Posts are all made from recycled tyres.

Old or Redundant Product or Materials

We encourage re-use wherever possible. Old rubber tiles have been donated to layer horse boxes, we have donated serviceable, but second hand equipment to schools and packaging is re-used for our own products. The list is endless, however we believe re-use is very important as it avoids the unnecessary filling of landfill sites.

Installation

By working in partnership with schools there are many ways we can minimise the impact on the environment. For example if a school is able to re-use excavated topsoil this will avoid material being sent to landfill.
