Josh, your Playground Designer
With a degree in computer animation, I love to bring your plans to life. I will draw up the 2D and 3D plans for your play space so that you can visualise Ben’s suggestions for your school. After teaching in a school in Tanzania, I have always had a keen interest in education and I particularly enjoy creating vibrant designs that encourage free flow play. My main hobby is football and I enjoy taking part in the Monday evening company kick-about!
Josh’s top tip?
Think about creating zones to maximise the ‘play value’ of the space and budget you have. Be confident that some areas can look quite simple to the adult eye, yet will still offer endless opportunities for child-led play.
Josh’s favourite outdoor memory
I vividly remember planting a hedgerow around our playground to help create a more natural environment – it was great fun and we all worked together as a team. In Infant School the best part of the week was using the outdoor sand and water basin!
