Playforce

Image Description

Children can look forward to a beautiful wooden outdoor classroom at Templars Infant and Nursery School

When Playforce first met Head Teacher mrs Mcgroy she explained to School Grounds Consultant Sam flatman that there was no shade in the school playground resulting in wilting children after lunchtimes

The school had tried to use gazebos, but these had blown away in the wind!

The playground was a large tarmac space but had no zoning to encourage different sorts of play during playtimes the result was that the children had no where to sit, chat, or quietly read a book.

What they wanted was a flexible solution that would double up as a shady space for break times and an outdoor classroom that can seat up to 30 children in circle times.

The school were lucky enough to have enough money to pay for the shelter from the delegated budget.

They choose Playforce because of  competitive prices, aesthically pleasing designs, child friendly construction and Playforce’s reputation to get projects completed safely.

Mrs McGrory  explained “The timber shelter acts as a quiet, restful area. We place books in there at lunchtimes for children to read, this really slows the playground down. We are really pleased with the shelter it is made from beautiful wood and well installed. Parents have also made good use of the shelter whilst watching their children playing football on the field in their after school clubs”.
