New Outdoor Playground Challenges for King George VI Primary School
New school playground equipment for King George VI school, near Kings Lynn, is not only exercising the pupils but also stimulating their imaginations.
The new activity area was fitted by Playforce, the premier provider of childrens outdoor play equipment - a company that prides itself on creating timber trail obstacles to stretch both bodies and minds.
"We are extremely pleased with the new playground equipment," explained the school's head teacher, Claire Bunton.
"The children are really making the most of it and have devised some very creative as well as competitive games.
"I'm so impressed with Playforce I have already booked to have an outdoor classroom installed in February."
Playforce sales consultant, Fran Brown, said that Mrs Bunton had been very clear what she wanted for the children.
"King George VI is a very small school in the village of Bircham with only 32 pupils aged between 4 and 11 so I had to make sure the equipment would be both exciting and a suitable challenge for them all," said Fran.
"I chose playground equipment that would encourage the children to develop their balance, upper body strength and co-ordination and an all-weather surface, which is ideal as it means that the children will be able to use the outdoor play equipment all year round."
The new playground equipment includes a timber trail with dual balance beam, swinging logs with rubber step posts, a Burma bridge and a hanging rope traverse. Playforce also built a climbing wall and two sand pits with sliding lids.
