What were the key elements that made Playforce stand out from other providers?

Several elements made us picked Playforce. The first was price, they were very competitive. Playforce had also completed other projects for our school on time and efficiently, the other equipment installed has stood the test of time and the variety of equipment on offer from storage solutions to role play and surfacing which meant that we could complete the whole project in one go.

How are you using the space to deliver outdoor learning and educational play?

We are setting up with other equipment, natural looking where possible, to ensure gross motor, physical play and to cover all areas of the EYFS curriculum.

What are the biggest benefits you have seen for the children?

Playforce equipment offers the children a variety of play and children can now make use of the whole area in all weathers. There are large mark making opportunities and a selection of robust equipment, suitable for the climate outdoors. The new area also offers opportunities for social and collaborative play and physical development.

Can you share any practice insights you have gained?

We now understand the need for robust equipment outside, which very different from the equipment used inside. The use of natural materials, and materials that weather well and are different from those used inside and in the children's homes. It is also useful that some items can be used in a variety of ways!

Any other comments about your experience of working with Playforce?

Playforce were very professional and asked us relevant questions to ensure the development was what we wanted, they arrived and completed on time and cleared away beautifully. They went above and beyond what was expected, taking real pride in their work.
