Why did you want to develop your playground?

The previous play tower we had was old, uninspiring and held together by layers of wood stain!

What were the key elements that made Playforce stand out from other providers?
Playforce provided the best variety of services. We loved the bespoke design service which included several face-to-face meetings as we developed the design. Our outdoor grounds consultant was flexible too while we were waiting for our funding.

The team from Playforce has been wonderful to work with, nothing was ever a bother to them.

How are you using the space to deliver outdoor learning and educational play?
The space is used continually throughout playtime – this is our first full week with the new equipment and the children are thrilled – wishing it were school time at the weekend by all accounts!

What are the biggest benefits you have seen for the children?
The children are turn-taking really well and although we considered establishing a rota, we thought we’d try everyone having access during every playtime, and this is working really well. The children have also risk-assessed the equipment themselves, and are very, very busy throughout each break. Our TAs on duty report zero incidents of incorrect behaviour choices too – all great!

Be as involved in the design as possible.

Any other comments about your experience of working with Playforce?
The team from Playforce has been wonderful to work with; nothing was ever a bother to them, and the onsite team worked with us to ensure the children were secure whilst the installation was taking place. Thank you all we are thrilled!
