Gwladys Street Community Primary and Nursery School, Merseyside

Gwladys Street Community Primary and Nursery School wanted to develop their old Early Years area. The Focus for this space was to create an outdoor learning resource, where they could complete the seven areas of early years learning and development.

Why did you want to develop your playground?

The old outdoor provision for our foundation stage did not provide adequate learning opportunities for the EYFS.

What were the key elements that made Playforce stand out from other providers?

Playforce listened to what we needed for our children and provided resources that provide challenge. The Outdoor Grounds Consultant used his own imagination and knowledge to use the space creatively.

How are you using the space to deliver outdoor learning and educational play?

The space is accessed by both Foundation One and Two and Year One as part of their continuous provision and provides learning opportunities linked to the EYFS.

Any other comments?

Thanks to Chris the Outdoor Grounds Consultant for his help and support. Playforce also kept to the time scales we had.
