Why my school does not need a playground

Alan McMurdo, the principal of anew City Academy in Peterborough, explains why his school will have no playground and will operate from 8am to 6pm every day.

He points out that the site has fantastic sports facilities and there will be plenty of PE and sport on the curriculum. McMurdo says creating healthy students is a key aim.
