School Opens New Adventure Timber Trail
Forest and Sandridge School has opened a new adventure timber trail course in their playground, funded by money donated to the school, and raised by the Parents Teachers Association (PTA)
The new timber trail replaces the old and worn playground equipment. The outdoor playground equipment cost £5,000 to install.
The School’s PTA raised £4,500 last year to fund the new timber tail by organising events including a Christmas Fair, Summer fete, fashion shows, disco, Easter fair and crossword competition.
A parent of the child at the school, Karen Stubbs, also helped fund the project by applying for staff foundation grant from her employer. Karen showed her employers photographs of the old dilapidated playground equipment and she then received a grant of £500 towards the project.
The adventure timber trail, was supplied by Playforce, the UK’ premier provider of outdoor playground equipment.
Anna Coombs, Head Teacher at the school said it was wonderful to have the new playground equipment installed. The children are loving it.
