Our children eat the most junk in Europe
Figures put together by retail analysts Datamonitor show that British children consume more confectionary and fizzy drinks than children from any other nation in Europe.
Datamonitor forecasts that British 6 to 13 year-olds will skip almost 90 breakfasts a year on average by 2010. It warns that poor diet combined with a lack of activity and exercise to cause obesity.
