Childhood obesity

This subject features in the above two papers again today.  In the Sun health section, Jonathan Scott a former obese child offers tips on beating obesity. He talks about setting goals and says parents should not give children junk food to make them temporarily happy.  Elsewhere in the Sun Caroline Iggulden writes about a seven-year-old who weighs 16 stone.

Unfortunately this boy is a star in his native Russia thanks to his huge bulk.  There is some suspicion that the boy has been fed steroids to increase his size.  In the Mail, Jenny Johnston writes about a 15-year-old girl who weighs 25 stone.  Her mother denies responsibility, says her daughter has an addiction and wants her to have a gastric band fitted.
