Increase opportunities for sports in your playground

20 February 2017

At Playforce we work hard to help increase opportunities for physical activity and sport in schools and the wider community. We design playground equipment that encourages active play and exercise as part of a child’s daily routine.

Last month, the Community Asset Fund was launched by Sport England to support the development of facilities to help the whole community to be more active, more often. This, along with the soon-to-be increasing PE and Sport Premium, has opened up opportunities for schools and local parks to use their playgrounds for more than just break-time or after-school play. The playground can become an fitness equipment hub for pupils, staff and the wider community.

In order to support the improvement of sports facilities in schools and parks, we’ve launched a range of new packages to help you make sport more accessible in your school or local area. With five packages currently available, we can find one to suit your space and budget. If these budgets seem out of reach we can talk you through a number of funding options that may be available to you.

Package One : Metal MUGA & All Weather Surfacing

Perfect for ball sports in any season, the All Weather Surfacing is hardy and durable come rain or shine.

Package Two: Timber MUGA & All Weather Surfacing
A smaller MUGA with timber surrounds for a more natural playground aesthetic.

Package Three: Timber Goal Ends & All Weather Surfacing

A simple design with natural timber goal ends. A lower-priced MUGA option; comes without fencing for a more open feel.

Packages Four & Five: 10 or 5 Piece Activity Trail & Safer Impact Grass Tiles
Include a variety of fitness equipment to encourage exercise in all abilities. Choose either 5 or 10 pieces to fit your space and budget.
