Has your playground equipment lost its appeal? Does poor quality space limit opportunities to take learning outside? Are children complaining there’s not enough to do at break times? If any of these scenarios ring a bell with you, we can help. We’ve been working with schools and early years settings for over 17 years and we know the profound difference that improving facilities for outdoor learning and play can make. When you’re making a significant investment in improving your facilities, often financed by fundraising, it goes without saying that you want to be 100% sure you’ve chosen the right supplier.

We’re proud of our reputation as the UK’s leading school playground provider and as #1 for quality and service. Did you know we’re the supplier schools are most likely to recommend to others and over half our business comes from existing customers?

There’s nothing complicated about working with Playforce. We like to keep things simple so there are just 4 steps to your exciting new outside space. Let’s get started!

#1 Consultation

After booking a meeting, our local expert Outdoor Grounds Consultant visits your setting to discuss your project. They listen to what you want to achieve, get a thorough understanding of the educational outcomes you’re looking for, and view your current facilities, taking measurements and photos.

#2 Playground Design

Your consultant is with you throughout the project as your single point of contact. They work closely with our award-winning design team to turn your brief into reality, creating a scaled 2D (or 3D for large-scale projects) plan of your setting to ensure our solution meets all your requirements, along with a detailed quotation setting out details of all equipment, safety surfacing and loose elements specified. We even create bespoke equipment for individual schools according to their needs. It goes without saying that Playforce equipment complies with all necessary British and EU standards.

#3 Installation

Our installation teams are highly trained and skilled with full DBS checks, and we select them carefully for their attention to detail and professional approach. We work to cause minimal disruption during installation and schedule work as conveniently as possible. Inquisitive children always have questions for our installers which they’re very happy to answer – some schools even build their installation into curriculum activities or projects.

#4 Post Installation

Following completion of your exciting new playground or outdoor learning space, you receive our Playforce Care manual. This contains useful information about guarantees, advice on maintenance and useful contact numbers should you need further support. We also offer customers our excellent Playforce Care inspection and training packages which are delivered by a fully qualified RPII inspector and are designed to ensure the safety of children using the facilities for years to come.

Now we’re not ones to blow our own trumpet but we get fantastic feedback about our considerate approach to installation. Here’s what Glebe Academy in Stoke-on-Trent said recently:
“The personalised service we received was second to none. The playground design was produced specifically for our needs, space and budget with no additional extras. The work was scheduled to meet our requirements and was completed efficiently and safely over four days whilst the school remained open. Considering this was our main entrance, disruption was minimal and the playground was even completed two days early. The Playforce team was brilliant from start to finish. We recommend Playforce and will use them again in future.”

And this is what Wyndham Primary Academy in Derby said:
“From the moment Playforce contractors came on site to start installation, we used the opportunity to learn about jobs people do. We observed the contractors (who were amazing – polite and friendly, answering any of the pupils’ questions) and photographed the changes daily.”
